I don't know if you have heard of Askville, it is an Amazon website with a very high page rank.
Of course, if you are familiar with it, then you know that they have made changes and eventually just got worse and worse. I learned a lot from askville, and it was a little secret I had, because google would immediately crawl any posts that I made, and not too many people exploited it.
It seems to me that mturk which is also an amazon site, also suffers the same mismanagement. It will probably get the boot too sooner or later.
I do know that amazon dot com used askville extensively for ranking their product pages, and can say from experience that it was carried out through mturk "hits".
So, I am wondering: Is askville quitting because of:
