Yes, they are dicks to deal with - almost impossible to get answers from - but in reality you have answered your own question. The recent Penguin and Hummingbird updates have spelled out very clearly that they want original content yet you freely admit "It's a mixture of videos, wp robot scrapes of products and articles" . . . In other words little to no original content. To them, that means no value.
I've had a site with adsense happily getting .25 cent (more or less) clicks for over 4 years. Never bothered google at all. Just last week I get an email from goog saying they disabled serving ads to that site for violating their tos. I check the adsense, it looks like it's because it got a click for over a dollar. ONE click for about a buck, and all of a sudden it violates their tos and poof, no ads anymore.
I tried to appeal saying they didn't tell me why it's suddenly no good, since all they did was tell me to read their tos and make appropriate changes. Well, if you don't tell me what to change, I can't fix it. It's a mixture of videos, wp robot scrapes of products and articles, not spammy, not full of popups. It is a bit ad heavy with 2 adsense ads and a couple cpa and amazon ads, but they never had an issue before.
And they only give you 100 characters to explain what you fixed when you appeal. Not 100 words, 100 characters, less than a tweet. Try asking them to tell you what they don't like so you can fix it in 100 characters. Obviously I didn't since I was denied my appeal.
So if they are that tough with dollar clicks, good luck with 100 dollar clicks.
