hi guys i am getting a bit confused on how to set up my site i have been told to use ecommerse but i no my way around wordpress and have a few themes that will work but i no it is a blogging platform and drupal is another site builder as well and is very good to but need to be taught how to use and then there is joomla that i no nothing about what do you guys recon or what are some experiences to go bye.

Hi I suggest you to avoid Joomla because there's a lot of issues with it.

I personnaly really like Wordpress. I've never build an e-commerce, but there's a pluggin called woocommerce which allow you to create your online shop with wordpress! Maybe you should try it!

agentrafiq i want to sell products online instead of using ebay as there fees are unreal so i want to set up my website as a shop and have a shopping cart where you can place your order etc.

Woo Commerce for WP

If you just need a store, go with Opencart. If you need an enterprise level store, go with Magento.

Yes WordPress is the most popular these days. It also has an extreme amount of mods and plugins.

1.) Install WordPress.

2.) Go to Plugins, Add New, and type in WooCommerce. Install and activate.

3.) Search here for "Superstore" and download and install that theme (Appearance, Themes, Upload New Theme)

3.) Go to woothemes.com and click WooCommerce and watch some videos.

4.) Profit.
