I'm working off memory from many years, but I am pretty sure the only method is a brute force trail and error of the password. I know that there are many tools out there that can do this (google rar password and many appear) But I believe that the method the author of winrar used for the password encryption is extremely hard to circumvent. Try a brute force method. It may take a long time to get the password that way though.
