I am from the Philippines too, but I don't do like this scammer did to you man. I am very sorry for your huge loss Daniel. In my whole life, I have never scammed anyone and I don't want to ruin my own reputation. It seems that you have a great project in making money with CPA offers. I'm glad that you already have his picture, important details, etc. Man this scammer is still young. I've been a victim of several scams in the internet, I lost $400+ years ago and my Paypal had a dispute of more than $1,400+ total (good thing I've found a way to pay them all back and my account restored) just last year. I hate scammers by the way man.

RE: i was scammed by this Philippines :roi harduel onofre
Sad to say I too was scammed by this guy. I wish I did my homework before dealing with him but be warned that this person is a skilled scammer and has been probably doing this all day every day for years. I met him on warrior forum (Roi O) He made a post asking for advice about starting a classified ads website. I contacted him to find out how his site was going and that I was considering using the same script, he claimed that he was RJ David, the creator of sulit.com which was purchased by OLX. Doing my research, this was all true, except he wasn’t the real RJ David. If only I paid more attention to the date of the sale in the news vs the date he posted on warrior forum, I would have seen this didn’t add up. He offered his Skype address foukume if I needed any further info. No mention if money, no real reason for red flags to go off at that point. I contact him on Skype and he talks a good game about the classified ads site, it was almost as if he really did have one. He claimed he got bought out by OLX and they offered to buy the site only if he re coded it from scratch and his web developer friend Tony Lea of devjojo built his, and his app for a low price of $500 because they were friends. I asked for his info and he introduced me to a ‘Tony’ who claimed to live in Australia posing to be this developer on Skype. We talked for a while about writing the frontend, backend. He even sent examples of apps he created, websites that has similar features that he built, which would be things I’m interested in having in mine. Also recommended specific servers and explained their benefits. Then asked for my budget. Mine was $1000, he asked for $500 upfront and it would be built in a week while he went to Singapore on vacation. He asked for it in bitcoin using Coinbase. A red flag should have went off for me but after a few weeks of solid conversation I paid. During the next week ‘Tony’ kept asking for my notes and any of my requests, making it look like the wheels were in motion. Then suddenly conversation stopped. I kept contacting RO asking what’s up with Tony. He said he’s in a country with poor wifi, hang in there and I’ll hear from him. No word from either of them for a few days until he hits me with the line “Tony, got in an accident, I have the pics of it if you want, but I’ll shoulder your refund since I referred you to him. However it can take days- weeks before I can get it since I’m converting my bitcoin”. At that point, I wasn’t sure if to believe it or not. After all he was offering hope of me getting my money back. Sadly, this is when I started doing my homework. Tony Lea does exist, I already knew that from looking up his work but he certainly doesn’t live in Australia. My guess is I was talking to RO the entire time form another account. I then googled RO’s Skype name foukume + scam and came across this thread here unfortunately. At that point, I sent him a message saying I know who he really is, that he operated both Skype accounts, he is a scammer, and I requested my money back ASAP. Reached out to Warrior Forum to request his ban. Gave them all the screenshots and proof they needed. Showed proof of him claiming a false identity. When I followed up on the ticket they said they can’t reveal any info of the process but rest assured they are looking in to the case. Got an email from Freelancer closing my ticket and as I suspected they didn’t ban him. At this point I have to chalk it up as a lesson learned because once the bitcoin is gone, that’s it.
Advice: Don’t trust a darn person online. You can easily get caught off guard. This scammer didn’t outright start off talking business with me. He was friendly, and beat around the bush until I asked about potential business. Then he nonchalantly referred me to someone. These sly tactics can catch you off guard. Your trust is better put in escrow services or a sure bet like paypal when dealing online. NEVER use bitcoin for someone you don’t know. No matter how nice or educated someone seems. Be patient and “interview” your potential candidates. Do some fact checking. Have them send you an email from what their official websites says. Get testimonials etc. There are tons of developers out there, you don’t have to settle for the 1st one that sounds perfect for the job. Lastly, make sure they are using Github and you can see their progress daily. I’ve started an Indiegogo campaign (link below) for the $500 I was scammed out of. I believe in bootstrapping and it would be nice if I could raise some of that back. For anyone who’s interested in donating I’d greatly appreciate it. I have to start fresh, this time with a REAL developer I’ve thoroughly checked out that uses paypal only. The most I can do to help here is give this advice and expose this scammer’s contact info. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/recover-500-from-scammed-deposit-for-welink/x/13443571#/ Avoid and expose these scammer accounts: Skype: foukume (R O) Email: foukume@gmail.com Skype: inquirer.desalis (Tony D) Email: desalis.inquirer@gmail.com |

Thanks. I did read the entire thread which basically confirmed my suspicions after going unanswered and I decided to google his skype user name. I initiated contact with him on WarriorForum in December. Who, by the way decided they won't ban him stating below. Although he clearly used a false identity in his PM, which they have as proof. He pays them to be a "war room" member so they probably are scummy enough to keep him for that. Quote: |

RE: i was scammed by this Philippines :roi harduel onofre
My add to this about payment method, even Paypal can get you scam it's easy to open debit card in the Philippines and link to your PP account and withdraw it easily in the bank.
You can open debit card as many as you want for cheap then link again to a PP account. Best is know the person to transact to if they have high rep in forums. |
