UPDATE: Some of the links on this post are no longer valid. Access denied by the host site. The mega link in post #25 still works and you can do a search for Kinetic Text Animator tutorials if none of the video links work.

As for the posts about an unclean VT, please look for YOUR anti-virus program on the list. If you see a green check-mark for the brand of AV software YOU use, it's fine to use the file.

If not, then do any of the following:

#1 - Delete the file and do a virus scan on your computer. But keep in mind that some files needed to make the software work (without "calling home") often triggers a response from your virus detection but it could be a false positive. In that case, see the next steps.

#2 - Drag the archived file to your desktop and double-click to open it there. Look for any of the following files: crack or patch files, executables or keygens. These files typically upset A-V programs that are sensitively set high but they could be a false positive.

Do a little background check on the reported issue in VT. Do a Google search for the named exploit or virus to see if others have an opinion about it. Read information on computer tech sites (not forums or help threads because those can go on forever with no valuable details).

Lastly, if you're suspicious of the file but need to run it, do so in a virtual sandbox. For example, you could download and try the trial of Sandboxie or another program or simply do that through your anti-virus program. Most A-V programs have a sandbox feature to keep the suspect program isolated from your computer's main operating system but otherwise, is totally usable.

Unless that VT scan shows the vast majority of the engines coming back red Xs, just look for YOUR antivirus program and see what it says.
