RE: WP or html
In my opinion, Wordpress. Even using an html template, you need to know a fair bit of coding. With Wordpress, it's 'enter-text-and click-publish', though some html coding knowledge always helps
The help for Wordpress, specific to your theme, is generous both on the theme's website and on youtube. Many pages are pre-built with a Wordpress theme, it's just a matter of entering your own text. Making an exceptionally professional-looking website with a wide variety of sliders is much easier with Wordpress... I've never even tried it with an html template... why bother taking the time to learn when Wordpress is so easy? Using a 'responsive' Wordpress theme guarantees your site will adapt and look good on tablets and phones, as well as a desktop computer or a laptop. To me, it's a no-brainer... sorry, Adobe... WP hands down. |

RE:
the criticism against Wordpress would be that it is too top-heavy for the very simple things that some people might want to do (e.g. a single web page), and does not have enough in-built functionality for other much more complicated things that other people might want to do (e.g. Customer Relationship Management, Content Management System, eCommerce, etc).
but yeah, it's easy to use, and there is a lot of great support out there! |
