Where the programs stores trial data?
I hope some experienced cracker can help me with this. I would like to know where the programs with trial period stores the data for the trial? Because even if you uninstall the program this data remains somewhere in Windows.
Is it in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE or somewhere else? Or may be it is not only in the registry? |

Total Uninstall sometimes will remove everything, including resetting the trial. It doesn't always work. More programs now login and get data from a remote server. Even if you don't do anything, it could send your computer ID/hardward ID to the server. Everytime you login, it checks that to see how many days you have left.
The info is not always stored in the registry. Every program is different. |
