What did I do wrong?
Hi, New here. :)
To give you a background about the problem, I work from home for a company that has just been set-up. The good side is that the work hours even when working from home are like 3-4 hours a day, and I get paid good enough - comparable to mid/high management guys in most corporates. That leaves me ample amount of time to do stuff I would like to do. The downside is, I live in a city which is very costly, and even with my income(+ that of my wife), the savings are next to none. So I am always on a lookout to find any additional work which would increase our earnings. Since I have plenty of time, about 10 days back, I came across this email from Ryan Deiss[who is an internet marketeer from 30DC], and the email had a link of video on how to make money through teespring.com. And so while Googling for additional info, I ended up here on Blackharforum, where I found some free tutorials about teespring. I did some research, and yeah - no manufacturing of stuff, no inventory keeping, no overhead costs, it sounded pretty good to me. So I decided to give it a try. I headed to teespring, created a couple of hooded shirts[since its winters in the US] - one for USMC, and another with a general quote on it. Headed to Facebook, created a couple of campaigns with CPC as a goal. I followed the tutorials, and targeted specific audiences, e.g. Marine Corps themselves, and people liking or following USMC deployment bases in the US, USMC supporters, veterans etc. Target audience was at about 3.2million, and I set my daily budget at $25(for a start and testing waters), and ad to be displayed in newsfeed only. So at the end of Day 2 following were the results with NO sales on teespring. I paused the campaign at then end of Day 2 with no visible results in terms of sales. Results 64 Website Clicks Cost $0.76 Website Clicks Campaign Reach 15,927 Frequency 1.0 Clicks 166 Click-Through Rate 0.993% Total Spent $48.56 Now I see that the CTR and Frequency is good. If I had been running it on an endless budget or for only pagelikes, it would have been great. In fact the FB page has seen pretty good number of likes. But that was not my objective, I wanted to sell some products, which absolutely did not happen. My bids were above the minimum suggested by Facebook. The image in the advertisement posted, clearly called to Action by saying Click to Buy Now for $xx.xx, and image of the product was very clearly in the middle on the white background - to rule out any clicks for checking out the product. The product was priced about $10 less than similar products. I mean, I could write on, but I'm 99.9% sure I did everything correct. Just want to know, what did I do wrong. Is there any better way of doing what I did. . Thanks for reading. Any help would be much appreciated :) |
