VIRUS ALERT! ICE OR FBI $300 SCAM - how to remove

My computer was locked by "ICE" and I was told to pay $300 fine to unlock it.
Don't worry it is fake if "ICE" or the "FBI" was after you for child porn or copyright infringement they wouldn't be this nice. They would kick down your door, arrest your ass and throw you in jail. They would take your computer and every computer related item.

I am doing a scan and if I locate the file I will post it.

Print out these instructions if you only have one computer or are a newbie. It will cost a lot to get it removed and you can do it easily.
Turn your computer off.
When you restart hit f8
Select Restore
Your Windows computer will have made a restore point. Use that not your manual backup.
Restore your computer to a week or so before.
YOU WILL NOT LOSE FILES OR PHOTOS
ONLY PROGRAMS INSTALLED AFTER RESTORE DATE ARE CHANGED
THEY WILL NO LONGER BE INSTALLED.
My check said that I had only installed Google Chrome which I had not.
If it is still locked.

Turn it off
Reboot hit f8 and boot in save mode.
hit alt control delete and start Task Manager
Go to processes and see if you can finding anything that you don't recognize and stop the process.
It will warn you not to stop it but to it anyway.
If you messed up and stopped a Windows file.
It will turn off and you can do another restart.

If you can't figure it out and you can get online I will help you if I can.

it's hard to know all the processes, but you can check online the names of the suspicious ones.
than you should check with autoruns frmo sysinternals or similar to make sure there are no more malware loading on boot.

Always use spyware doctor with antivirus. Mate this software is the father of all antivirus software. The problem with this software is high memory usage, so only used once in a day and than shutdown the software and enable your default antivirus protection. I am using this daily whenever i used any crack or entering hot site..
