Godaddy has really gone very far down from how good they once were - no exaggeration, sadly.

I've been using Namecheap for a while now (and Freenom for when I want a free domain reg for testing anything...).
An additional perk from Namecheap is that you can do dynamic DNS as a side-function of any registered domain with them at no added cost - totally takes the place of (paid) DynDNS.
And of course their support is quite helpful when their help is needed.
