Help please. I cannot find how to subscribe to a thread?

As far as I can see, you have to post a comment on a particular thread in order to subscribe to it. Correct me if I am wrong, but is this the only way to subscribe to a thread? Ocassionally I'll stumble across a thread that I want to subscribe to, but due to things going on around me sometimes (kids playing up etc) it's not convenient to leave a comment at that particular time. That's not to say I wouldn't join in the discussion on another day or even contribute, it's just that it might not be convenient at that time. Is it not possible to subscribe BEFORE posting a comment? "Help as many people as you can to get what they want and you will get what you want"

To all the other members in the know - Correct me if I am wrong, but is this the only way to subscribe to a thread?
