I am trying to install but setup prompts me to download microsoft net 3.5 . I already have 4.0 installed on my computer. Anyone know how to get this to install with 4.0...otherwise I would need to uninstall 4.0 and install 3.5 and I really don't want to have to do this since I have other software using 4.0.

You need to install both because their are different, but if you in Windows 7, that's a different stories as Windows 7 have .net 3.5 out of the box.
