STRANGE: Banned from YouTube: false alarm???
Well, when
I attempted to log into my YouTube account—that’s linked to my Adsense account—I got the infamous message: “If you've been redirected to this page from a particular product, it means that your access to this product has been suspended. Read on for more information.” When I verified via an sms, I got the bombshell: “Your access to this Google product has been suspended because of a perceived violation of either the Google Terms of Service or product-specific Terms of Service. For specific product guidelines, please visit the homepage of each Google product you're interested in for a link to its Terms of Service... Next steps for suspended accounts: If you believe your access to this product was suspended in error, contact us...” So I logged out and logged in again, this time into the gmail box of the same YouTube account. It opened up successfully. I opened one of YouTube’s default mails—the usual congratulating messages of video uploading etc… I opened the link in the mail that led to my channel: my videos were still there; still monetized and ok. I even managed to edit one, re-monetized and re-published it. Today the account is still fine. My concern is: does YouTube flag accounts through auto bots? If so, does it means that the process has such a high probability of error? Was my case was a false alarm or is it a warning of disaster waiting to happen? I would be glad to hear someone else’s opinion. Thanks. Oh, and thanks to BBHF, I now can remove the (!) symbol from a blocked video and monetize it again. |
