[STOP] Bullying - Please take a moment to read and watch the video!
This is off topic for the forum, so I post this here.
Whether its the speed of news and technology thanks to the internet which also provides another avenue for those to bully each other by chat, social media sites, instant messaging. Or the accessibility of other technologies and prevalence of cell phones in the hands of younger children (I am guilty here, having given each of my children cell phones when they turned 12 many years back) with their sophisticated cameras and video technology, texting, sexting . . . It just tears me apart to see and here about these young kids, 9, 10, 11, 12 or barely teenagers who because of bullying by any means - where its constant, never-ending - leaving these children hurt, broken and desperate who find the only solution is to take their own lives. To see their pictures and stories posted leaves me sad and broken-hearted; for the loss of their real friends, but mostly for their families who have to deal with the grief of losing a child too young, too soon. To see these pictures in retrospect and hear their plight leaves me often feeling helpless and wishing I could have made a difference and been their to defend these little souls, offer support and be there to get them through this. What about the loss to society? The world? Who knows what these bright, beautiful children could have become? Nobel winners in Peace, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics - whose potential work and discoveries good augment and contribute to the betterment of so many others. What if we lost the one person who would have discovered the cure for cancer, muscular dystrophy, heart disease, diabetes. Or turned the world on to new discoveries about particle physics, astronomy, teleportation, etc? To that end, I looked inside and found that even though I thought it was good fun, found myself a bully here, berating "leechers" and others deemed not contributing to the community. My promise is to stop my insults and jabs, no matter how innocent I think them to be - I don't know how that could impact the ones I've potentially offended. There is such a thing as "adult" bullying. To any and all I have offended, please accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. To everyone else, let's do what we can to put an end to all shapes and forms of bullying, any way we can. Please take a moment to watch this incredible animated video of a poem titled "To This Day". Thank you! |

RE:
Suicide is contagious so talking about it, especially so openly is dangerous. Over the years the problem has been picked up periodically by the news media as if the news media is going to help do something about it. In the 1970s a Superstar rock band named queen wrote a song about suicide with their top selling hit "Another one bites the dust". During these periods the suicide rate increased 100% or more. The reason is that getting people to identify with suicide victims is a bad thing.
It works like this. If I told you not to think of a pink elephant what is the first thing you would think of? That's right. You'd think of a pink elephant. It's a mind and language trick. Some people do it on purpose. Most people do it on accident. You get what you focus on. So focus on something positive. The first story in the video is about the oppression of the people by the U.S. government. In Vietnam when the Viet Cong would come into a village they would assign an "education specialist" to live with a family. The stated purpose was to be able to help the family with anything they needed. The real purpose was to brainwash everyone. The specialist would create a problem even if they wasn't one and would then require the family to undergo re-education. If the family resisted the village would be attacked and taken over military style. In the U.S re-education specialist like this exist but they are called counselors. The government spends billions of tax Americans tax dollars to put them in the public schools to "help" families. They look for problems and if they can't find any they will create one. Their job performance is evaluated on how many problems they can find and fix. So they have a financial incentive to create them if they can't find them. This adds to the stress of the family. Stress on the family increases the divorce rate. Divorced men and women are more likely to suffer mentally and emotionally. Children of divorce are most likely to suffer the most. This creates exactly the kind of environment the communists like. Families are now less able to care for themselves because they are broken. More likely to depend on the government because of their increased need. The government can now infiltrate the families at the request of the family members. All the while claiming to just want to "help" the family. As Ronald Reagan once said. The most feared words in the English language are "I'm with the government and I'm here to help. The U.S. government is now conducting so called anti-bullying campaigns in public schools to help your children identify more with victims of suicide. The number of school shootings have increased. This provides the government with an opportunity to exploit the victims as a way to try to disarm its citizens. The cycle of create a problem then rush in with an answer that involves more government that will create more problems so more government can be used to solve those created problems continues. |

RE:

I thank you for your post and also your apology. Several VIP members would do well to consider your post and reflect on their behavior. I love coming to this site and browsing the various sections however I have found that often it is not a pleasant site to be on because the focus has too often been on the freebees and not what the BBHF can do for each other. I find the site is not as encouraging as it could be and the attacks on the "leechers" very negative and often very personal. I have little techy skills but 30 years of sales and business skills which I would love to transfer to the online world. I see this site and its members (generalization) all too often looking for the quick fix as opposed to building a long term business that generates recurring income. I don't want this post to be seen as a criticism of BBFH but as encouragement to begin to think not as individuals but as a group. This forum represents hundreds if not thousands of marketers and the opportunity to join forces to achieve financial freedom for its many members needs to be grasped. 80% of success is just about consistently turning up and this can be speed up when those who are already successful decide that others should receive the benefit of their wisdom, failures and successes. Anyone can be successful but it takes a great person to make others successful with them. Imagine if 10 successful VIP's took 10 (1 each) ordinary members and helped them be successful (sharing revenue is fine) on the condition that those 10 when successful do the same for another 10. Suddenly 10 becomes 20 who become 30 who become 40 etc. Anyway that's my thoughts on this and I salute you for your post which in light of some of comments that have been flying around is much needed.
