| Recommended SERPS checker?
I'm trying to measure the results of my SEO labors by measuring my sites' Google SERPS. But nothing I'm trying seems to make any sense: I thought Rankcheckerace_dot_com would be the answer - nice online solution with graphing and export - brilliantly easy and full of info. But I don't believe it any more after I checked it against what my browser was returning - very different answers for the same search at the same time. (And yes, I cleared the cache and cookies, and went through a proxy.) If you can't get a reliable measurement of SERPs, how can you hope to improve your site? So my question is: what's the most best (= most reliable) way to measure SERPS, and why? And a followup question: how can a single page rank twice for the same keyword on Google? I did a search this morning and one of my site's pages appeared in two different positions (about ten places apart) - shouldn't be possible, right? But I doublechecked and there it was twice. | |||
