@moseleyw: I don't know if this will work for you but you can try it in 3 steps...

STEP 1: Do a Google search like this :

NOTE: If you aren't familiar with it, this site is one that aggregates or collects download links from sites all over the web; including forum shares.

STEP 2: Make sure your anti-virus program is running in real-time mode, is updated and (optionally) integrated with your browser, if applicable. This is a good idea whenever you go hunting for black-hat type stuff.

There are some sites and download links that could be malicious, so you want to have a barrier to protect your computer from many of the nasties that come standard in web browsing.

STEP 3: Search the sites that Google returns but ignore those from:

* Any site named TechSmith - the official site

* Sites with names that don't make sense - these are probably spammy or potentially harmful. When I say sites that "don't make sense," I mean the URL is unintelligible gobbledygook; sites with names you cannot read (ex: a long string of letters and numbers instead of a real site name). Be very careful clicking on those. And that's why I suggest you have your A-V program in full gear.

Instead, look for the sites that look like the one in your search keyword. Follow those links (right-click and open it in a new tab so you won't lose the original Google search page).

It will take a while to trudge through all those sites but you may come upon either: (1) a list of keys you can try or better still, (2) a keygen file that will generate keys for whatever version of SnagIt you have.

HINT: You may want to include the exact version of the software you're trying to use in your keyword search.

It looks like at least one of the sites in the Google search promises a 2020 version of SnagIt with keygens, cracks and patch files for both Windows and Mac systems.

It's just a matter of how much time you have to devote to finding it.

If this method gets you nowhere, you can always get a working version of SnagIt (and lots of other software) on the Persian download site bitdownload(dot)ir.

Just search Google again using the exact same keywords as shown in the image above but replace the site name with bitdownload's URL.

Thanks, 12days, for adding value to the thread. Let's hope that the original requestor is seeing this because unless he posts a reply, says "Thanks," gives reps or does something other than post a REQ, we have no way of knowing if what we tried actually helped them.

The only thing about that pirate site is you need to use a VPN or you will see crazy flashing icons and annoying messages showing you your own IP address and such. At least, that's what used to happen on my computer when I used it. They are probably only ads trying to sell you a VPN service ... but if memory serves me, I could barely use the site because of all the distractions.

But if that doesn't bother you, then yes, that pirate site is another source for finding software with keygens.
