RE: [REQ] WSO OFFER - SSL Sniper
I had SSL sniper - as was said, everything was web-based. There were a few training videos, but nothing that would do you much good if you didn't have software access.

There was an outreach email, but it was basic - fear-based kinda thing about how your customers are gonna see this warning, you need to get it fixed, etc.

I'll be honest - I had no luck with this whatsoever.

The software seemed to only work Ok. It supposedly pulled directly from the google API, then used something to determine if a site had an SSL on it or not. Thing is I'd do the same search more than once and get different results. It'd also pull different results based on KWs that were very similar.

e.g. - if you searched "plumbing" in Atlanta, you'd get different set of results though with some carryover) than if you searched "plumbers" in Atlanta

It was also wonky in that if you went too broad with your search, you didn't get much in the way of results. Like you could search "plumbers" in Atlanta, and get say a page of results. But then if you searched "plumbers" in all of Georgia, you'd get like 1.5 pages of results...which doesn't seem right.

The integrated email solution was via MailJet. You have to setup your account and link their API to the software. Then when you pull up results, you can click a button and a contact-form like email thing would open in your screen. Type or copy and paste your email one at a time and send. Maybe MailJet gives you analytics or something, but I didn't see the need for that, so I just downloaded CSV files with contact info and sent the emails via my own webmail.

I sent roughly 500 email in a variety of niches across two states over a few days using the scare tactics type outreach email saying their site was labeled as unsecure. Probably 20+ of those emails were undeliverable. I got 5-10 responding to unsubscribe. Got 3 asking for more info (who never followed up when I sent it to them). Got 3 more telling me I was wrong (who I sent screenshots of the warning to...two didn't respond and one thanked me saying he'd send it to his IT guy lol). Got another 5-10 responding back just calling me names. lmao

Switched tactics and sent another roughly 100 emails across most of the same niches to a different state. Used a totally different type of angle (I can go into it if you want...not sure it matters) with a a screenshot of their site and the unsecure warning attached. Followed-up with all those people 2-3 days later with more info on how google was cracking down further.

Didn't get a single response from them.

So maybe I just went about this whole thing wrong or something...I dunno. Wasn't for a lack of trying. Regardless, nothing came of it for me.

Your mileage may vary and all that.
