When I was a kid, my old man had a friend in the pacific northwest that had a small shake mill. We're talking a building not much bigger than the size of a trailer and employed maybe 2-4 guys. All he did was build and sell pallets. (Well, I say "he did", but he just owned the place - never actually worked there.) I don't remember any of the numbers my old man would throw around, but he'd often talk about how he'd never seen such a not very bright guy make so much money with such a low-rent operation. (Apparently, it was a mess. lol) Point is...there could be some really good $$$ in something like pallets. lol |
