That is correct, you will need a video platform to host your videos (you cannot use youtube for this), so a good option is the Vimeo pro account.

The Roku device is for you to have access to watch roku channels and you channel of course.

The TV Boss Software to create and publish your channel's content


This looks like a rea lalternative to free youruself from Google.

That's all true and from looking at the Vimeo pro plan you have to pay for a full year in advance. Then you'll need the Amazon Fire and Roku devices, Amazon Prime account, Roku account and you'll need to have HDMI slots for both devices on your Tv or you'll need a HDMI splitter or a new Tv. So there is a LOT of additional expense involved in getting started with it.
