get a better theme mate. Better still a mobile responsive theme. search for prose theme (genesis framework child theme)
im sure you can find it on this forum for free. do a quick search.

i honestly cant see what you like about that theme.
for niche sites, there are lots of amazing themes on this forum to choose from like click bump, heat map theme etc.
