[REQ] Directory Generator - Armond Morin

Looking for a zip and/or install files for Directory Generator - this is OLD software..

I used this program for years, but that machine died.

All my googling just turned up old affiliate pages, but no joy.

If any of you have big/old collections or better internet juice than me, I'd REALLY appreciate it if I could have this program back in my hands again.

Dude, I had this on my Powerbook in 2004!

I have to think there are better apps available now for this. Certainly tons of WP plugins that create directories.

There probably are...

But firstly (and embarrassingly) I'm not entirely sure what I'd search for - for all the program did..

..and also, I actually liked that it ran on my machine, was small and simple and generated nice little html pages that I could go back and tweak more later..

I'm about as technologically advanced as the Flintstones :)

I wouldn't use Directory Generator today. It was designed to exploit the search engines of 15 years ago, and their algorithms have changed. The sites generated would probably be considered spam today.

I didn't really use directory generator as fully intended. I stripped out everything (mostly) from the html template and just kept the title and description templates with a mostly blank, formatted by me page - to make my adding content quick and easy.

I really appreciate the link you provided.. I'll be looking into these further today - reps added for you, thanks so much for your input in pointer(s). :)
