RE: [READ] I need to get something off my chest
@StillStanding: You know I had to post in support of your view on this. I've expressed similar sentiments in the past.

It seems to do no good.

People like these don't seem to want to help themselves unless they can do it at your expense. They ask for multi-gigabyte sized downloads on specific platforms because that makes it easier for THEM. And if/when Mega takes it all down, no worries. They'll just click a few keys and ask for a re-up all over again. No sweat off THEIR brow!

People with 0 reputation who have been around for several years... I'm talking to you.

People who are always making REQ threads but never share anything.

These people are who they are --- at their very core.

And they outnumber those of us who make this blackhat forum "The Best."

Sadly, the forum management is doing nothing to discourage them from existing here.

Just moments ago, I got a PM from someone asking me to share a 10+ GB file (they had 0 reps but to their credit, they kindly said they appreciated all of my shares. This was based on my showing newbies how to get the course using premium links and Real-Debrid.

When I went looking for reps from this individual, I couldn't find their username for anything I shared in the past few months.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Some people feel that you're here to get them what they want or need.

Amazing!

Anyway, it's the civilized folk here who keep me coming back... the ones who know how to share and show kindness to others when they do the same.

Unfortunately, though, there's not enough of them.

[Layna steps down from her soapbox].

You could actually do that as many times as you want, until your daily rep limit is reached. I believe an "uploader" member which you are, you have a daily rep limit of 30 reps, at least that's what it was when I first joined. There is actually another way you can give someone more than the 3 reps, and that is any comment that sharer posts, you can rep them, no matter what the comment was.

@StillStanding LOVE ya shares AND always give YOU extra reps Love

IF a user/requester can't work out what you wrote above for themsevles ...

then...WHAT hope do they have of making any money/improvement ect, NO HOPE, cos lets face it they are thick as shite, bottom-feeder-LEECHES! Tongue

Agreed. Some people just don't have the manners.

A bit/lot disheartening when you get these takers. A simple thanks/reps sent takes but a few seconds.

I know it wasn't your intention, but sent you some reps for this post.

Appreciate all you do here StillStanding.

This really reminds me of being in Heavy traffic and you stop to let someone through and they don't even acknowledge you. Wow

RE: [READ] I need to get something off my chest
Thanks everybody for the comments. I'm not surprised though because anybody that shares on a regular basis eventually has to deal with leechers. I am shocked by the number of reps I received for this post. I'd like to thank members EuroTrader, LeggyAnita, GordonShumway, AbeLincolnBart. Between those four, they gave me over 100 reps. I reciprocated by giving some reps back to them for their generosity.

An interesting note, the member I alluded to in my post. When I notified him/her that I will ignore any more of their re-up requests, they actually discovered how to use the rep button.:)

After doing so, neither one of these members sent reps or even as much said "thanks for the re-ups". Now I know, the forum doesn't require members to rep for items they download, but sending reps is a common courtesy. I ALWAYS send reps if I download a share. In fact there has been many times I have sent 20+ reps to a member.

Both of these people are "junior members" so even if both sent reps, it was only going to be 25 reps or so, that's not going to make or break my day, but it's the principle. If you got time to download something, you've got time to send a sharer reps.

I'm almost hoping these two members request more re-ups from me. I will reply to their request by telling them "It's not going to happen. Your just a give me this, give me that type of person."

OK, my rant is over, we now return you to your regularly scheduled program.:)

Hey brother standing. It was because of this that I have left a couple of times. When I was ripped off in a GB, I was warned to stop warning others about it.

Some people simply don’t give a fuk that we actually pay for the products we share. If you look at all of my shares ($$$$$) and all of the views to my shares you’ll notice that the views, (which we all know are downloads) are in the thousands!…

Now look at my reputation…

I share in here for people like you and I. Unfortunately these people who have been here for years with nothing but “requests” and reputations of 12….or less.

I see you my friend.

Holy crap!! That member ask you to re-up 18 items! If someone had asked me to do that I would've said "Let's see some reps from you first, there's no f***ing way I'm going to take the time to find those items on my hard drive and re-up that crazy amount!
