[READ] I need to get something off my chest

Recently I have been swamped with re-up requests for some of my shares. One member wanted me to re-up 18 items, another wanted 7 links updated.

After doing so, neither one of these members sent reps or even as much said "thanks for the re-ups". Now I know, the forum doesn't require members to rep for items they download, but sending reps is a common courtesy. I ALWAYS send reps if I download a share. In fact there has been many times I have sent 20+ reps to a member.

Both of these people are "junior members" so even if both sent reps, it was only going to be 25 reps or so, that's not going to make or break my day, but it's the principle. If you got time to download something, you've got time to send a sharer reps.

I'm almost hoping these two members request more re-ups from me. I will reply to their request by telling them "It's not going to happen. Your just a give me this, give me that type of person."

OK, my rant is over, we now return you to your regularly scheduled program.:)

I'm sorry you experienced that. Regarding reps, I can only give max 3 at a time. Are we supposed to keep giving 3 reps over and over to the same person for a download? I'm genuinely curious because I'm not entirely sure how this works.

loads of people lack of manners. Simple rep or thank you makes it worth while.

The only way you can give more than 3 reps to a sharer is to click on their user name and then click on "Rate", then you need to leave a comment such as "thanks for the share". You could actually do that as many times as you want, until your daily rep limit is reached. I believe an "uploader" member which you are, you have a daily rep limit of 30 reps, at least that's what it was when I first joined. There is actually another way you can give someone more than the 3 reps, and that is any comment that sharer posts, you can rep them, no matter what the comment was.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the way that society is going these days,
and it's often reflected in this forum.

People are just, me,me,me and I-want-it-and-I-want-it-now.
Saying thanks is alien to them.

Considering that it only takes a couple of seconds to click the Add Rep button,
it is just rude and self-centred.

These kinda folks should get nothing.

Like everyone else here, you have my thumbs up vote entirely- I have made a few posts over the past year about this- As you can imagine I get hit up quite a bit to put back up all of the Pure Platinum classic shares that have expired- And I did so for a time, but what I noticed time and time again was, in response for my assistance- Crickets- No Thank You, No "You're the Best Theo"- No hey can I buy you a Steak and Beer- NADA!

On another thread, where I have gotten hit up numerous times to put up the Ultra-Rare Tony Robbins "Opening the Kimono" 4 video talk he did for Brendon Burchard's group in 2009- There is no doubt that the multiple revelations about the seedy underbelly of the "shelf-help" industry was probably "too candid," and Brendon pulled those videos off of every possible source for obtaining them- Yes, I still have them of course, but I won't be putting them up here again-

The last time I put them up was last Thanksgiving- I steered people to the discussion about reps in as gentle a manner possible- Within one hour the videos had been downloaded like 15 times- How many "Thanks Theo I'm going to name my next son after you" comments do you think I got? How many 1-5 reps did I get? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOO-

Of course, like you, I'm not hung up about the reps, that's not the point- Heck I'm currently sitting at 9946 reps- So close to 10,000!!!!!!!

And I have some incredible GOLD to put up here that I KNOW will push me over the 10,000 mark in less than a day from all of the good people here- But I don't care anymore- Sorry to sound so cynical and negative, but that's what's happened here-
