I think I'm going to go in the Opposite direction. Slam Google for this sham program they're running! Go to the program itself on Google and read the TOS. They are just pulling another fast one to increase dominance over the SERP results. Few main points that suck totally:
1-Your biz and EVERYONE related to it has to go thru near Gestapo background checks through Google to qualify.
2-Google ONLY guarantees up to $2500 lifetime max with all sorts of disclaimers and disqualifiers as well. How many Kitchen, Bath, Roofing or Home Improvements are only going to cost the customer $2500? Not many.

Roofer drops his hammer on Grandpa's head down below? You're sh*t outta luck! Not covered. Roofer destroy's the flowerbed? Sh*t outta luck again, not covered!

Your better off pointing out to the potential client what Giant thieves Google are and showing them the TOS and how they are basically trying to take over every service market in the SERPs. They are screwing the "Badge" customer (contractor, who or whatever), the end clients/homeowners with this bogus "guaruntee" not worth over $2500, and worst; they are screwing every biz with their own website that doesn't join in the Google Gangbang on local biz AND anyone doing SEO and having to convince his or her potential client what a ripoff Google is being here. I seem to notice a few places I've posted a 'negative' comment, the thread appears to die (not all, but I've revisited a few threads and my negative comment seems to be the last on a few.)
I don't intend for that to happen. Hey, it's up to each individual business or individual to make up his or her (or they's) mind, amiright? And, though my rant is quite negative (I think for good reasons here), I'm not totally against the idea either. Could be added to the basket of offerings if one so desired. I would just think for yourself and look into the details. Sort of like Google Fiber. Everyone was raving about it when it first started rolling out, however the complaints about the crap service and the fact G is now 'rolling' it back in to a degree is telling.
