Here it is.

There is NO “law of attraction.” (I have stripped it of its power by not capitalizing it any longer!)

There is, however, a law of sowing and reaping.

It comes not from thinking, but from DOING.

When you do things that bring value to others, you are sowing good seed. Good seed leads to a harvest of good fruit. This is why I sign off my emails with “do good stuff.” Do enough good stuff and good stuff comes back at you.

In contrast, if you are selfish, greedy and hurtful to others, you are probably going to have a rough go of things in life.

Does that mean good things don’t happen to bad people?

No! By no means.

And in the same way, does it mean that bad things don’t happen to good people?

Of course not.

Life is full of challenges. To explain those challenges away as something as simplistic as the universe responding to our thoughts is the height of silliness. It is an immature approach to the harsh realities of a world. Perhaps that is why it is easily accepted by those seeking easy answers.

But The Secret doesn’t stand up to any rational scrutiny. And those responsible for teaching it are accountable for misleading so many astray. All the while they are filling their bank accounts at the expense of others.

I have not attracted my successes any more than I have attracted difficulties in my life.

Successes are the result of hard work, good decisions, right choices, and I believe, a healthy helping of Divine intervention.

Difficulties and the seemingly negative things in my life are often the result of bad choices of my own. And sometimes bad things happen just because bad things happen. I’m sure the victims of Katrina would vouch for me on this one.

You can NOT control the universe, no matter how much you try. Can’t do it. Not gonna happen, friend.

What you CAN control is how you think, and more importantly, how you behave.

We act on that which we believe to be true Right thinking LEADS to right choices. Right choices frequently lead to good results.

What can you do today to make a difference that really counts? What behavior and choices can you make that will bring about positive results?

The REAL secret is not a secret at all. Life is what you make it. Go out there and do good stuff!

What's funny is, and AbeLincolnBart and others who get my shares can see, is that I try hard to find the best info I can in the briefest package possible- On MOST occasions LOL- One fantastic course that I put up here that I love is the Infinite Wealth 3 pdf set- Now THAT is a lot of material, all pdfs, and actually pretty easy to get through and GET, but there are a lot of pages-

So instead, when I can, for the sake of brevity I like to put up short, concise, but densely packed pdfs- Like the Frank Kern newsletter I put up the other day (a few more choice ones are on the way!) - And this Quantum Success pdf was put up with that in mind-

AbeLincolnBart- I agree with everything you (ahem or should I say "Joel" lol) said- I have always been on the fence about LOA, mainly because I was brought up with a good ole Protestant work ethic (well not really, wasn't brought up Protestant) but basically with a "Can't get something for nothing" attitude-

I think Joe Vitale, a big contributor to the Secret of course, and also Bob Proctor, also from the Secret, both talk in their own works about the need to take ACTION- I believe they both have also said off the cuff at times that the Secret didn't really give people the whole story-

As Joe says I think, You have to also take INSPIRED ACTION-

But it's funny, because Joe in a video somewhere was talking about his own brother, who is a "financial failure" I guess, he's been unemployed for years, and tells Joe that he doesn't believe in the LOA, even though he's attracted all of this in his life Joe says, and the brother also doesn't believe in positive thinking, and doesn't see that all of his negative thinking has brought on his troubles and continues to maintain his current, failing situation- I'm paraphrasing, but its an ironic situation-

Or, the guy has just really had bad dumb luck and there's nothing he can do to get out of it-

Ok I'll stop before the rambling REALLY begins, but what you put up here AbeLincolnBart er Joel is basically how I see it, except to add the point that I do believe it all starts in the Mind- If we CAN'T picture it, believe in it first, I think it's likely never going to happen- Because we'll never take action on it!

A teacher named Joe Schroeder said it best, or quoted someone else-

Most people have to SEE to BELIEVE- You need to be able to BELIEVE to SEE...

As AbeLincolnBart knows from personal experience. Investment of your time, taking action while developing creative and critical thinking skills, infused with following through all on a consistent basis will give you some returns. Building on these foundations one evolves and adapts through self-action and inevitable networking.

See, networking in this trade is natural for people that take action. Hit a wall and try everything possible at your level of development and you reach out for an assist. Guess what?

When the person reaching out explains what they've been attempting it is self-evident to the receiver based on experience. They recognize action taking. This person is legitimately putting in real effort. For some, not all, there is at this point a causal and moral responsibility at play here. Thus a surreptitious spark of true growth potentiate can manifest. But it requires two to dance.

Again for some, not all, because of inherent natural limitations by said level of personal development and awareness of the greater. Reinforced learning by turning around and teaching another. Being of service to one that is earnestly engaged.

Think of it also as camaraderie and its basis becomes self-evident through personal effort and follow-through. It's clearly recognized and respected because it's earned and the fruition or just reward manifests. With said feedback the person is sparked with increased self-confidence, self-reliance, intrinsically motivated and best yet.... Endeared with gratitude and thankful!

This thankfulness, such sublimely pure gratitude pores out from the heart to the Highest of Highs in true recognition and praise. It just does. Because there is by any name of choosing or recognition, ONE SOURCE and CENTER OF ALL.

Now that is true growth. Can never be lost, stolen or reduced.

There's no limit to our growth except that which is self-induced.

Thanks for jumping into the conversation! I will have to be brief now (rarity!) as I'm heading out to finish some Christmas shopping, but I'm also not sure entirely what you're asking-

When it comes to the "long-lost" etc. that I like to put in my "sales copy" here, obviously you can see from my other posts those are phrases I use frequently- But they are true for the most part, as the things I dig up haven't seen the light of day for most here!

Like Dan Kennedy says, you can still call something a "Secret" if everybody on the planet knows something, but your 1 reader doesn't!

I don't understand what you mean- Who's to say this book never spurred me into such belief prior? And what belief are you referring to? And you ask what is different with me now? Nothing is different with me now, I'm not sure where you inferred that something was different with me now?

My own views and explorations with LOA I shared above- The jury's still out for me, but knowing that there are those who are interested, and as I said in my post earlier, I try to share a variety of works here that hopefully are brief but valuable, rather than bog everyone down with hundreds of pages, videos, or audios that let's face it, most people NEVER get through- I stumbled upon this pdf the other day, remembered it was a neat little package, I've always found Tom's story inspiring and I know it is true- And decided to put it up- Nothing more complicated than that really-
I've also looked into Joe Vitale's stuff, jury's still out on him, I like Bob Proctor's style and his Think and Grow Rich 3 day seminar was fantastic- And also went through Marilyn Jenett's Manifestors course that I got on here some years ago before I lost it in a crash, had some good results from that actually-

But in the end, as AbeLincolnBart was saying and I agree with, you HAVE TO TAKE ACTION!

For a great little work on that, really inspiring, read Dan Kennedy's Ultimate Success Secret- It's all about taking ACTION-

By referring to your OP I was not saying it was sales copy. Your share source originates from 2002 so I thought how interesting its recovery from your old files. As if writing in the OP as expressing re-discovery of something cherished.

Not like something you read or skimmed and then moved on from. I thought possibly you had been moved by the material and asked you, "How long have you been applying what you got out of this book?" as I wasn't sure.

I was hoping for you to share your own journey as you said it's an ebook of miracles. So I was curious to hear you elaborate.

For me, I do believe in the "Law of Attraction". Even if you read Joel Comm says: "Successes are the result of hard work, good decisions, right choices, and I believe, a healthy helping of Divine intervention."

Now for me, that does not mean you can sit on your backside, watching TV 18 hours a day and just think you want a new car and it will show up in your driveway....

Nope. For me, LOA is about FOCUS. The things you focus on, spend the most time thinking about is what you bring into your life. More and more science is backing this up.

It's like you drive to work every day and don't see things. Then you decide you need a new car and you decide which one you want... Then you drive to work and you see the car everywhere.

We all have RAS (Reticulation Activation System) that sits between your slow conscious mind (15 to 20 second span and maxes out at about 5 to 7 things it can think about) and your super fast sub-conscious mind. Almost everything you do every day is done by the sub-conscious mind. You don't think about it, you just do it (Habits).

So when you decide you want that car, your RAS tells the Conscious mind that that little piece of info is important to you. That is why you start to see the car everywhere you go.... They were always there, just not important to you, so they were filtered out (see NLP - Delete, Distort and Generalize)...

So, LOA is about FOCUS on exactly what you want... They you start to see connections, opportunities, possibilities that will lead you closer to that outcome.... Of course you must take ACTION.... That is why the root of the word Attraction is Action!

Believe it, don't believe, I don't care... But it is at work in your life no matter what. FOCUS on exactly what you want, stay on track, see opportunities as they pop up, then take ACTION.... And you have LOA working for you.

Everything starts with Clarity about what it is that you want. You must be crystal clear about the outcome you desire, then stay focused and do the work...

Sorry for the delay, been a bit busy the past couple of days lol! In any case, I haven't had the ebook actually since 2002, I think I've only had it a few years, BUT, I did put some things into practice and lo and behold, actually saw some good results- And I felt that this ebook here shared Tom's story in a way that his book "I'm Rich" hadn't shared-

One thing that I had received from Tom was his story about all of the different types of jobs and talents that he has, and his various ventures- Including writing a selling a script to Hollywood which never got made (but that's pretty typical actually), and Tom's history of selling "belly to belly," as well as selling through print-

And yet, for all of these different ventures and talents he apparently had, he had declared bankruptcy not just once, but twice, PLUS he admitted that his third bankruptcy in his life (that's PERSONAL BANKRUPTCY, not business bankruptcy) was just about to happen before he "discovered" something that turned his life around-

So in the end, this actually wasn't a "long-lost" book from 2002 that had a major impact on my life back then, and I somehow forgot about it- I've had it for a few years, but actually, truth be told- I have a MASSIVE, and I mean MMAASSIIVVEE amount of stuff- So much stuff, that even if some ebook brought me a million dollars (and this book/teaching, along with a couple other things I was following, DID bring me a large, unexpected amount of money- correlation or causation?- You decide lol) it would still fall into the endless ocean of stuff that I have- Oh, and I should add, I actually GO THROUGH much of the stuff I have- I read a lot, watch videos when I can on an extended speed, etc.

So maybe that's my best explanation?

I'll have more to say perhaps in my response to Gordon I'll post below-

Great to hear from you! It's been awhile-

Excellent ideas you shared here! It's funny, I was reading what you said, and when you mentioned the car, right away what popped in my mind was "I bet he mentions the RAS," and then boom, there it was lol-

Now keeping in mind what I've said about my deeply-ingrained "Protestant work ethic" and the philosophy that you can't get something for nothing, even though I actually HAVE gotten "some things for nothing" in my life, you bring up a fantastic, important point, when you submit that LOA is really all about FOCUS- Because some "practitioners" would agree with you for sure, but some others might ask, or argue, What about the "metaphysical" aspect of the LOA? The way you describe it (and I'm not judging it in any way, your idea is sound to me) makes it appear that the process is strictly a mechanical, non-metaphysical one- By focusing intently on what you want, and stoking that focus let's say with an intense burning desire (a la Napoleon Hill) you will by just mere, sheer desire and awareness, somehow stumble upon and find whatever it is you are looking for, and that you NEED, to bring your desire into reality, to "manifest your desire-"

But that is a different concept and conception from the idea (taught by other LOA teachers) that what is really going on, what is REALLY occurring, is that you are actually changing the "fabric of reality" and manifesting something from nothing, or something from the "ether" out there, but in this case you are "forcing" it into reality by sheer will and metaphysical persistence (i.e. continually consciously focusing, visualizing, and associating as many positive emotions with your desire) that actually explodes into physical manifestation that which only existed previously as a thought, picture, and desire- Different thing from the RAS helping us home in on anything and everything that exists in external concrete reality, that can assist us with bringing to us our desire-
