[QUERY] How to automate creating new threads in phpBB?
Hello Everyone,

I'm starting a new forum running phpBB. I also have a full-time day job so I can't spend a lot of time on a daily basis on getting it up although I should. So, I figured I could use my time in a smart way... and since it's new, I need to get some activity happening on the forum to attract real registrations and new discussions.

What comes to mind is automation... Here's how I want to approach it.

  1. Scrape threads (title and posts) from other popular forums in the niche by using a scraping tool.
  2. These scraped threads to be posted as new threads on my forum but saved as Draft Posts (so that I can check each of these threads, and rewrite them so to avoid duplication).

I'm looking at having 20 new threads scraped on a daily basis, and then gradually increase the number to maybe 60 a day.. until there's no need to do it any longer.

If there are any tools out there or if anyone has a better approach in mind, please share the same. I'd appreciate any input on this.

Thanks in anticipation :-)
