I believe officially gambling is illegal in India so your first problem would be finding a offshore bookie that would allow you acess to the football gambling markets. I would say its not suitable for you.

I am of Indian origin, resident in UK and when I visit India for two months in the year, I find all my gambling sites login becomes disabled with a note saying login not allowed in the jurisdiction. My son sets up I think a VPN or VPS on his local server in the UK and this enables me to login to my bookie accounts!

So I guess I would be breaking Indian law placing my bets in India and I would also be breaking Gujarat state law sipping my duty free whisky!
