Hi,
If its a new money website then adwords....
You need to prove that the traffic will stick on the keywords with low bounce before you spend month building backlinks and ranking high.

For example let say you put together an ecommerce site sell shoes.
No point spending 3 months waiting for traffic if your site sux.
Buy some quality relevent traffic, like "buy school shoe" pay for it and make sure you can deliver.
This will test your entire system, your analytics, your ecommerce backend, your banking, your delivery, your returns etc, and will give you some idea of conversion rates. Once you have those number for a few weeks, you can then figure out if its going to be profitable for you even if you had natural search or whether you need to go back to the drawing board.

If your site isn't working properly all that natural traffic will fade away as soon as the bounce rate goes up.
The good thing about google search is they are seperate to google adwords, Matt Cutts points that out, they are two different algorithms. You won't be penalised by google adwords for screwing up your website, they will just keep sending you more people till the money runs out and cost you more, give you a low score. But if googles search starts, you might get lots of bounce, low time on site etc which will kill you, and the issue is that it take a long time to learn that what the problem is.

Cheers.

There is a in this forum, but you need a systematic way to sift through all the info without the information overload.
Start by looking at on page seo before looking into off page seo, because if your onpage seo is bad all the other efforts they will be just a waste of time and money

Thanks so much for the advice, and yes it's a new website. Targeting adults and I will definitely look into paid ads first. Cool

LEarn the following topics of SEO, below are current working methods to get traffics:
1. PBM (private blog network
2. Web 2.0 tier link building
3. Guest post

Each of the above topic itself big one try step 1 if you have more than $200 as budget if you don't have enough fund try step 2 as it does not need money
