Need advice. What SEO tools do you use to check how well the site optimized?

It would be great to look on the site like googlebot.

Hey Fenrir, I´d start with Google Webmaster tools. It shows you how many problems Google has with your site. Webmaster tools is pretty basic but it´s Googles way to tell you what to change to get a better ranking. Remove duplicate Meta Tags, titles, descriptions, permalinks, etc. Then go to one of the websites where you can measure your website speed. The faster the website loads, the better it ranks. Reduce unnecessary pics and try to reduce the loading time. A lot of members instantly click back when they are on a slow site, so this is the type of stuff that Google doesnt like.

Also get yourself Yoast and all the modules you can get for it and look into all the option it has. Try to remove as much duplicate content in the link structure as you can. Also try to no-index pages like the contact page, TOS, disclaimer, etc as they pull you down. There are some plugins that show you what you can do to improve the SEO status of your postings. I think it´s a plugin from the AA-team and I really liked how the plugin shows what you can do to improve the SEO settings. Make sure that all your postings have SEO tags and if you cant create them by hand, use a plugin to automatically generate them.

Then have a look at your backlinks in Google webmaster tools and remove backlinks from link farms as they pull you down too.

Make sure to use a fast theme, such as the ones from Mythemeshop. They are designed to be fast and shareable. Besides they are mobile friendly, which is important for the rankings too.

Last but not least do some social networking. This is a huge topic and you should try all you can to be visible in all the social networks that are.
