if you don't have money but a lot of time, i suggest on and off page seo. this means keyword research and knowing the keywords to promote for external and internal backlinking. actually i suggest this to anyone just starting out not knowing what to do. it's your safest bet but takes time to build and grow. tweeting and relevant facebook posting is good, but i would also suggest forum commenting with a good signature in relevant forums. and social networks. guest posting is GREAT if you can research the relevant blogs who know have high traffic. it's time consuming because you have to get permission first and get your article reviewed, but well worth it for the potential targeted traffic. i hate bots since they can be a little spammy and create a negative image. you want to create a positive image or people will just start ignoring ya.
you can also start researching and implementing ppc on bing or another low cpc search engine/traffic network. you can create an ad account and get a $100 coupon for about $10 to test some ads for targeted traffic. instead of asking a general question to recieve general responses, there are a lot of good downloads here on this forum where you can research the best avenues for your venture and impliment. takes time, but time is what you have you said. You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone that can never repay you
