[METHOD] Post Panda 3.3 SEO.
ON PAGE SEO
1. 100% Unique Content - Study your competitors, study their pages, check how many articles they have, what keywords they are targeting, which keywords do they 'bold' on their websites. Have MORE content than them, increase your "relevancy" level to Google. Google is a bot, its a spider, it may have millions of complex algorithms, but all it wants to do is find the "most" relevant website to rank for. 2. Canonical URL's and Internal 301 Redirects - This is IMPORTANT, or it can trigger your site to be duplicate content, I never bothered about this until recently as I have seen changes in my rankings when its done right. Example of 301 issue: PHP Code: http:// and http://www. - PHP Code: http://www.domain.com/post/1/ and http://www.domain.com/article-what-ever-its-about 3. Meta Title, Meta Description - I don't care so much about these anymore their 20th century. I'm going into Google Rich Snippets and Good Relations - Do research on these, its a big eye opener on the future of SEO. OFF PAGE SEO: Short funny version : Code: http://mattcunts.com/beating-the-google-panda-3-3/ Details: 1. Link Diversity - The days of ranking your EMD with a scrape box blast, are gone. Now you NEED to have diversity. Personally I stick with contextual links (links with text around them, related to my keyword). This include Web2's, AMR (Good quality lists), Wiki's and certain high quality blog networks (those that do NOT accept spun content, and only accept copy scape content). 2. Anchor Texts - 50% of your links should have the keyword you want to rank for, the remaining 50% should be related keywords. 3. Link Pyramids - No more using low quality links to boost your high quality tier1 - Low quality links will get de-valued, thus giving no link juice to your high quality Tier1. I'm building contextual link pyramids - without using Scrapebox/Xrumer type links anymore. 4. Spun Content is dead, unless its human readable, and copy scape passed. Example : PHP Code: MONEY SITE < Private Blog Network < Web2 Network < Wiki Links < Social Bookmarking Summary: Google has raised the bar again, and things have changed. Keep up, drop the old methods, start working on new ones, and keep testing and tweaking. |
