This is based on ranking right?? My question is recent Google Algo update FRED affects it?? Does it still work??

Truthfully I lost two sites in January when google rolled out its update but that was it. The only thing I did different on those 2 sites was link through a PBN that was seemed to be discovered by google. All other sites old and new is still ranking and moving up in the serps.
