Kindle - what version should I buy?
Hey, I'm going to buy Kindle 5 Classic.
Is it a good choice from the Kindle family? I thought about Paperwhite 2 but it's a bit too expensive for me. It also seems to be overpriced. So what's your opinions about these products and what should I buy? I'm going to read about 2h/day, mostly during the day. (not in travel, rather at home) And important question - can classic hold some pdfs with lots of pictures? (like books about drawing or some porn magazine lol) |

RE:
If you like to read yourself to sleep in bed (like I do), getting the Paperwhite would be worth it.
But since you do mention you will read during the day I think a regular Kindle will suffice such as the Kindle 5 Classic. I have a Kindle Keyboard 3G and I love it. I can't imagine having a Kindle without a keyboard on it because I'm always searching for definitions on it and it works great for that. And yes, it DOES hold pdfs. About 95% of books I have on my Kindle are pdfs (that I got from here, lol!). As for pictures on them, it's hit and miss. Some images come out ok and some don't. In my case they are screenshots. When there is an image, it looks like what it would look like if it were in a black and white newspaper. Not as much detail as you would like but it gets the job done. Sorry I'm late for this. I hope you got the one you want. |

RE:
Yeah, I boutht a classic one and I'm satisfied with it.
Can't read in the darkness, but I think it's more healthy for eyes to read on e-ink with a normal, warm light from my lamp then on e-ink with some kind of other lighting and being sorrounded with the dark. Pictures work great, most of pdfs too, but those that are scanned images unfortunately don't. Still I got a lots of mobi books that works just perfect. It was a good choice :) |
