Is all Udemy Instructors are Real and Have hold on their Profession?
I have watched numerous instructor's profiles and some are those who are not for whom they claim
One of which claim that he had train more than 25,000 graphic designers through his site but when I check his site it is registered in august then how can he teach a big number through his site? while his udemy course has less than 1k students |

RE:
1k students is actually a large number... imagine the course costs 50$....
i'm sure some instructors are not who they claim they are... but you can find that kind of thing everywhere... so its not much of a surprise... to be honest i don't really care as long as the course is actually good... fake it till you make it? anyone? not relevant, thought you might enjoy it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxc20saM8DA |

RE:
Hahaha. You can find this superinstructor type :) but what's important is the quality of content. Before buy any course or enroll into it check these important factors:
1) Yes instructor experience matters 2) Course Good Reviews "the stars" :) 3) Google the course to read the buzz around it These are important factors for me I consider before enrolling into online courses.. Regards,

RE:
CitizenKane is right. you'll find that everywhere. Some Kindle books are crap, some Ebay sellers are ripoffs, and as I'm sure others can attest, some warrior forum 'gurus' are hacks. Doesn't mean you should avoid the whole system altogether. Your doing the right thing, though. You already researched this particular instructor's claims. That's all you can do.
As for ALL instructors being liars (I won't call them fakes), I can rightly say no. And I have that authority because I have posted several reviews on different instructors here at BBHF. Quite a few instructors are part of other instructional sites, others have the legit credentials, and still some are just people sharing knowledge and then there are those, as you are thinking, who are just trying to make a buck. Do you know what it takes to create a course on Udemy? sign up. that's it, really. But I bet, if you did the numbers, the legitimate instructors far outweigh the percentage of boasting wannabes. I have seen and investigated some credentials that are so good, it makes me wonder why those instructors are even needing to create courses at all. decades of experience. And for that matter, I know of 3 teenagers who have courses. One in particular has horrible presentation skills, but his info is dead on correct. What credentials do you think he has? and finally, for CitizenKane's vid suggestion. I liked it, even sharing it on FB, but your pretty bold to post it- PC and all that. Thank you both for sharing ! |

RE:
From what I've seen so far. Udemy has the best collection of legit pros besides the ELONGATED open courseware stuff that is available on the web.
Example: McAfee institute, the professional web developer course, empoweria team, kim dushinski (mobile marketing pioneer), cornell university, etc. The stuff on this site is an total F****** steal for the price vs. the risky crap products on kindle, warrior forum, clickbank, random bullshit ass torrents, ebay, local bookstores, even most college campuses in the usa.
The only thing I don't like about udemy are the worthless humanities course (language arts, ancient greek culture, medieval bullshit, hypenated studies junkola, ie. things with no practional future economic function). |

RE:
Agree with Citizen Kane on some of the instructors 'bloating' their credentials. But you have to wonder about all the positive reviews (which time and again online can be purchased cheap - think Fiverr) and tenured professors who may have retired but still know their subjects inside out, so that kind of eliminates the 'check when his website went up' doesn't it?
If the information is worth what you paid for it, you can use it immediately to get the results you want, why should you care if it's a trained monkey who reads Shakespeare. Get what you need and leave the rest. Yeah, my first post and already in trouble:) |
