2 years ago, its matter but now it really can't help much. Yes some people still believe in it but for me. I don't think it working anymore even if each Domain on different IP. Just because google now focus on article as the way they ranking website. Not how many backlinks, link to the site anymore

Cheers

If you have the money to invest then I would say YES. A good quality high-pr domain could rank a low competition keyword to the first page of Google within a few days. Obviously the more you have the stronger the ranking power. If you have the money (a quality PR 5 domain will likely cost you a few hundred dollars) and know how to spot the ones that are of real quality (there are many scammers trying to sell PR 5 domains which have fake PR), then I would go for it.

I don't think they are as powerful as they once was a few years ago. I still get a few of them but for different reasons. You can find some good pr domains on godaddy in the closeouts section sometimes which only costs ~$10 + registration. Find a coupon and you can usually get a pr4 or sometimes pr5 for less than $15. Takes a bit of looking tho

Expired domain worth a lot if there PR is real not fake , you can easily sell backlinks for expired domain . Lots of private blog networks use expired domains to create their powerful blog networks

RE:
not just the PR that matters, u have to consider all these before buying a domain which can really benefit you:

atleast PR 3
High number of live / active Backlinks
Aged domain, atleast 5 years old

As far as I have experience, It does not matter how much the PR of the domain after expiration. It is worth only when your website is live, it is beneficial till your website is crawled by Search Engine. If your site found expired then ranking will surely Decrease.
