Indexing - what works now?
Hey everyone,
Quick question. Does anyone know what indexing services are ACTUALLY doing to index links these days? We all know pinging is next to useless.. and the indexing services are obviously hush-hush about what they do.. I prefer to know what's going on with my links. Anyone reversed any methods? PS. If you don't know the answer.. please don't pretend that you do and cause confusion for other people reading. Thanks Guys! |

RE: Indexing - what works now?
Thanks for the reply - pinging doesn't really do a great deal these days compared to the past.. Both based on my testing and Matthew Woodwards excellent piece here:
http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/experim...y-results/ To clarify, I'm not asking "How do I get links indexed?" I'm asking "How do 'good' indexing companies index links?" :) |

RE: Indexing - what works now?
Hey guys,
Thanks for taking the time to respond, but I think you skipped over my post a bit too quickly :) To clarify, I'm not asking for recommendations on indexing companies, I'm asking if anyone knows what the indexing companies actually do. Eg. Perhaps they're pinging some specific sources, or perhaps they're posting links on social, or perhaps they're submitting sitemaps with links on pages in the sitemap.. I'd love to hear from someone who knows what is actually |

RE: Indexing - what works now?
High PR Blog commenting / commenting on high PR guestbooks works well, but don't do it for your money site. You can use these for tier 1/2/3 sites. Many of the indexing services use spam (blog/guestbook commenting) to index links.
For your money site either let it index naturally or build some quality links to your money site from authority sites like twitter, plurk, stumbleupon, delicious, diggo, tumblr, storify, scoop.it, wordpress etc only. |

RE: Indexing - what works now?
Hey davenor,
Thanks for replying.. Good to know - I had considered that they were doing this, but wasn't too sure.. and all the more reason to find out! I mainly use Twitter to index my money sites at the moment - can't get much faster than that IMO. I think I'll have to avoid paying any indexing services to index my tier 1 from now on too - bit too close for comfort IMO Thanks mate! |

RE: Indexing - what works now?
Here is a crazy idea..maybe someone is actually doing it...maybe not:
A script that has thousands of burner gmail accounts, each with their own proxy (or not) that submit your backlinks to Google URL Submit Tool. Like what you're doing manually but on a huuuge scale! To answer your question: most indexing companies have their own way but i feel like this is a mix of: the RSS methods + pinging + social media posts.
Any and ALL Reviews that i see, get an instant +5 in REP. If i missed it, PM me with review post link and i will double it.. you'll get +10 REP!
