Seems rather steep IMO...so what exactly makes this a quick way to earn money then ??

Even if the existing products keep selling well - and if the new owner pays back the amount to buy it 1/2 as fast as the 'income' arrives, it is still a very small gain for a large initial expense with ongoing overhead, etc...
