I hate to see it go, as you said it will increase the leeching and will make it a haven for bots as the links will be exposed to bots if it is removed.
What if you put some requirements to using it, if possible. Like the member has to be here for so many days, has so many posts, have a postive rep. Something like that, maybe? I wish I knew more about scripts, but unfortunately I do not. Well hopefully you can optimize it to make it work better, but if you can't then you have to do what is best for the forum. And if it has to be remove it, then so be it. |
