Have many domains on many different sites. I want to consolidate on 1 cheapest site. Which one?
Hello,

I used to search for 'cheapest domains' and registered many domains.. Now I have accounts and domains on 1&1, go daddy, uniregistry, nameserver, rebel.com etc etc..

Problem is, some are very expensive (e.g. godaddy renewal is 15$/annum for .com) compared to others..

I mostly have .com, .net and .xyz, 1 .tech and 2-3 .work domains

Since I have about 20 domains, I wanted to ask, what do you guys do? Which is the cheapest service PER ANNUM? (that wont disappear in an year).

Also, does transfer of domain from 1 registrant (like godaddy) to another (like rebel) cost money?? In that case, should I move all my domains to 1 for ease of use?

Hey @hdaackda1...check out namesilo.com

They are 8.99/yr with lifetime free domain privacy. I've used them for a few years now and I've been really happy with them. I have also used/liked dynadot in the past but am moving everything to namesilo

If you like namesilo, throw me a few reps...need to get over 10 to request a link I need ;-)

Thought I already replied but don't see it. Try Name Silo (namesilo.com)

They are 8.99/yr with free lifetime domain privacy. I've moved a lot of domains there from other places and have been very happy with them.

Leave a little rep if you like what you see...I could use it ;-)

I had the same situation. I got a vps from Hudson Valley Host (https://www.hudsonvalleyhost.com/). They are not really expensive and their email support is very good. I have been moving everything to them. I have not had any problems at all over the last few years. If you want to consolidate everything with one provider and want to be able to talk with someone for tech support, I like InMotion Hosting. When I call I get someone who is US based and highly knowledgeable. They have also just gone ahead and fixed things for me without a charge. Things that other providers who have said that they don't do. Hope this helps a bit

As for domains/transfers:
I have moved all domains I have to Namecheap - especially when they are having specials.
(Often reg., transfers, renewals can be had there for 88 cents.)
Their DNS management, services and support have been excellent IMO.

Used Gandi for a bit - but found them to be flaky; tried Uniregistry and they just s-u-c-k; got out of Godaddy after their prices went too high and support wasn't so good anymore; tried 1&1 ONCE - and NEVER again !!.
Haven't used Namesilo and must say I wasn't impressed when I looked at their site and pricing.

Hosting-wise, I have very different thoughts than most but they work well for me...
