RE:
the paid survey companies provided all 'promise' to pay you to fill out surveys, actually they are all mostly scammers, they all make different promises too, paid offers, paid to refer friends, etc... they will pay you to wash your car, pay you to eat out, pay you to go to the movies, it is ALL A SCAM!
yes, there are legit survey companies out there, one i used to belong to actually went out of business and a scammer purchased the domain name and is illegally using their old logo to make people think the company is the still in business, i have actually discovered this same scammer did the same thing with other survey companies that went out of business here is how the breakdown works, some of these guys are out and out criminals, others are cpa scammers, they send you a cpa offer, usually from a spammer, CPA IS DEAD PEOPLE! anyways, they send you cpa offer promising to pay you $5 or $10, even more, sometimes much more, $40 even $50, etc... yeah, you get the cpa offer to complete, when you do they are supposed to credit your account in 30, 60 or even 90 or MORE days.... why? because you will forget, anyways, some of these cpa offers only pay out $1 or less, so how can they afford to pay you $5 or MORE? THEY CANNOT! it is a SCAM people, plain and simple.... a few of them ask you all kinds of personal info, the more you provide, the more 'offers' they promise to send you... they are actually identity thieves trying to hack your bank accounts, etc,,, open credit cards in your name... they are criminal lowlifes a common trick they use is the credit report scam, they ask you to pay a website $3 to $5 so you can get your 3 main credit reports, in exchange they offer you a $10 or even $20 payout, remember, this is supposed to be a survey for you to fill out... at the site you are asked for all kinds of private info, bank account info, even routing numbers, ... so in reality you are paying a scammer a few dollars to go to a free credit report website, he will enter your info for you, if you already have an account at that free website, you get an email from the scammer saying he needs more info from you... do not forget, they often ask for your phone number, they 'NEED' it in order for you to get paid after all..... i pity the fool who gets a phone call from their bank, that often goes something like this, THIS IS THE SHORT AND SWEET VERSION, they often add a few lines of text to try and fool you... say your real bank was called 'bank b' and your checking account number was 12345678 ... you will get a call like = "hi, this is mary or mark the vice president of online banking at bank b. is your name john or jill doe," they will use your real name.... they will often add 'someone has tried to illegally hijack you checking account,' so they will need check if everything is ok with your account with your. they will ask you, "is your checking account number 12345678?" then comes from kicker, my favorite part, they will say " we are going to need YOU to prove that this is indeed, or infact, YOUR checking account. what is your password please?" lots of people fall for this garbage, THEY ARE SCAMMERS... WITHINN MINUTES, once they have your password, they will start transferring YOUR money to their accounts in other countries.... they will try to get your secret question and secret answer, some banks have extra layers of security, they always know what is needed to get one scammer, he never leaves a victim behind, say you have a security question on your bank account, for example, say your security question is 'what is your first pet?' or 'what is your city of birth?' etc... it does not matter what the questiom, guess what? in an upcoming survey you will be asked to answer that very question or questions... sorry for being so long but too many people are clueless about this... you go to one of these survey sites, and you need to see if you are qualified to take a survey, sometimes they will ask you 20 or more questions, even fill out two different surveys and say, oops sorry, you do not have any surveys pending... you just finished taking one OR TWO for NOTHING! banks often have online banking with a 'i forgot my password' feature... usually a series of questions you filled out in advance with your back in the event that you forget your password, so they can prove it is you... you have to remember, the reason some legit survey companies went bankrupt is that they accepted jobs from scammers and spammers, years ago, i got a survey offer from a legit provider, they wanted to ask general questions about online banking, they paid $20 for about 30 quick questions... you would answer most of the questions, all they way to the last page and boom, you are not qualified... however this time i qualified, you needed an online bank about, i had one with a listed bank, so they said, in 10 more minutes of questioning i would earn an easy $20... so bingo, i answered away, but i stopped... every other question was a security question my bank asked if forgot my log-in info.... this scammer was paying a legit survey company to find victims to hack their bank account, he hacked hundreds of accounts before the company pulled the offer, from people like who submitted complaints, i think it actually got some media play and that survey company 'went out of business' ... it actually just changed its name and opened a new office... it did go under a few years later and now a scammer uses that domain to scam people with bogus cpa 'survey' offers
