For me I'd like to learn how to properly rank my clients month after month. Not get tied to the latest theory that only results to egg on my face. While yes I want to make and very good living with part-time hours, I want to do it legit for the clients.

So what's the best way to keep a local client ranking? Content? On-Page SEO? And what is a good reference point if all you have is good common sense? I say that because too many of these offers just seem too over the top. Also scalabilty would be good.

Since you are asking questions about local clients, I will assume that you probably you are probably looking for some information. Here are some of my opinions.

Probably the best, easiest and quickest approach is to get your client listed in the Google 3-pack. If your client is not in a very competitive industry or city, this should not be too difficult. Los Angeles Dentist would probably be difficult. You do this by creating and/or fixing the clients citations. You can research this to learn to do it yourself or go to some place like Fiverr and pay someone.

Another way you can show your clients results rather easily is to create and rank a review video. This is relatively easy to do. Title and rename the video file before uploading to YouTube with your keyword phrase plus the word review.

Title Example - John Smith Dentist Review

File Name Example – johnsmithdentistreview.mp4

Create a description, put some keywords in the tags and do a few backlinks. After a few days, when you do a Google search, the YouTube video will probably show up on page one for John Smith Dentist Review. If not, get some more backlinks. These surprisingly have great sticking power with little extra work. Google treats videos with certain words in the title, special and one of those words is REVIEW.
