GOOD COPYWRITER PLEASE HELP ME... Sales Letter Copy Advice Needed!!!
Hi BBHF Friend,
I know there's got to be a few good copywriters in this forum, with all the great material available here. So I'll get to the chase: I'd really appreciate some advice. I'm looking to put together a sales letter for a paleo cookbook. This sales letter comes as an upsell to a Paleo Diet Guide product. The biggest the problem is I really don't understand the market, I get that. That's the reason behind all the difficulties. I'd like to know what kind of angle you guys suggest for this sales letter, some strategy or anything. And secondly please will someone tell me how to go about finding out more about my customers. All I know is they want to lose weight and want to do it naturaly. And that's not enough. How can I know my customer like I know them in real life. How do you guys go about your market research etc. Any small or big hints and tips will be EXTREMELY HELPFUL... Thanks. PLokij3 |

RE: GOOD COPYWRITER PLEASE HELP ME... Sales Letter Copy Advice Needed!!!
PLokij3,
Here are a few thoughts: 1) Getting to Know You...and You, and You. To meet your customers, you could 'meet' them. Find them. Talk to them--No, LISTEN to them. A lot. 6 Tools to Find Awesome People with Similar Interests http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/6-tools-fin...interests/ 5 Sites Like Meetup http://appamatix.com/5-sites-like-meetup/ moreofit - finds you similar websites http://www.moreofit.com/similar-to/www.m...ke_Meetup/ 2) Electronic Eaves-Dropping Not sure which copywriter suggested it first (Halbert?), but reading the ed-ops (editorials-opinions?)[EDIT:Also Letters to the Editor] pages of niche magazines is a way to hear what real people are currently discussing. The modern equivalent of that would be blog sites, where the subjects you're searching for are in a blog post and people comment below the post. Many times there's gold in those comments, like other avenues to search or specific details of your subject that you haven't heard of yet. Also, someone (?) suggested looking up the top 10 or more books of that subject on Amazon.com and reading the comments. Not just the positive ones, but the negative as well. Hope that helps. Live and Learn. Give and Earn.
