RE: [GET] Word Search Trending Traffic
I wonder if he sold any of these?

That's got to be one of the worst sales pages I ever read. I've read it twice now and I still don't have any idea what the hell his product is about!

Something about trending topics, word search (whatever that is), keywords, pdfs, downloads...

Honestly, I've been in the online business for more than 10 years and I can't figure out what the hell his product is!

So, I'll download it and see -- thanks to OP.

Can't imagine anyone buying something so badly described -- this guy is in desperate need of some kind of marketing and copywriting training.

UPDATE:

A quick review. He's running Google Trends rss feeds to RSS Owl, based on the term 'word search', then creates little 'word search puzzles' and uploading them as pdfs to his site. An important sentence near the end of his very short report is this:

"Right now, I’ve taken down the word searches off the WriteCome site (at least a month back because I didn’t want people to think that my site was a word search one.)"

Ok, but it's ok for your customers to turn their sites into word search sites?

For $17 this is quite poor stuff. He should at least describe the process of creating Google Trend rss feeds, so someone can run with it and use terms different to 'word search'. Also, his feeds seem to be collected on a random site he owns called 'paracordo dot com' but, if I remember correctly, this is how Jack Duncan teaches people to set up Google Trends to RSS Owl feeds.

Which brings me to the next part of my review...

This looks, strongly, like a rip off of Jack Duncan's Trend-spotting product. Which goes into a LOT more details on how you can set up Google Trends, feeds and RSS Owl, and feed to your server, so you can use this system as a research tool. This guy just seems to be trying to sell his iteration of it, EG, specifically for word search. And JD is selling the entire system.

Interesting thing is they both sell for $17 -- so, take your pick which one is better.

IT's a coincidence, in fact, because before I found this thread, earlier today, I found a thread sharing Jack Duncan's Trend Spotting program and tried all the links but they were all dead. So I posted asking for an update, if possible -- the program is about 5 years old but, clearly, hasn't aged!

So, to sum up -- this guy's word search probably works for traffic. I doubt it's much use for anything else. The puzzles he creates aren't going to satisfy someone looking for these puzzles, and they are totally unrelated to his site and products. So I'm guessing they don't convert into much and probably end up costing due to the hosting resources they will use up. Maybe if you did it on a massive scale, it would work, but that would require some automation.

Overall, it seems like half an idea, to be honest. He's clearly tried it himself but if it was successful in any significant way, he wouldn't have removed it from his site!
