Well, they use a lot of the same libraries so I hope they
were smart enough to avoid calling same functions twice if both plugins are activated.
Haven't tried them together tho.

Theoretically, would this mean that this combo will load quicker than the legit version since it does not have to call home to check licence?

Thanks for the tip, but I am currently using a combination cache+spam defense+WP security free plugin (Wordfence). It seems to be working well
