RE:
hey all just wanted to provide my 2cents as a newbie.

This works beautifully. Thanks for the share.

I was having trouble with the registration (kept asking every 5 minutes for a serial because invalid), so i decided to block the whole ip range. Works well for me so far no issues:
216.176.185.1 - 216.176.185.254
208.115.108.1 - 208.115.108.254

hope it helps someone.

Tried this, and it's working, and it's the easiest solution so far. Thanks dude. +Rep
I made a slight change into my Comodo Ruleset (for the ones that are using this firewall), changing the single IPs to IP ranges, blocking the two IP ranges and allowing any other IP.

RE:
I think for people for whom it is not working it is a problem with windows firewall than problem with the individual.

I have been trying since last night now, to get the registration working. It gives the same error everytime, even when I have added the entire IP range to the Windows Firewall rules.

I had to download Wireshark to check if the rules were really working. As I had guessed, they were not. The Powersuite apps are still able make Outbound requests to the IPs.

I trynow with a 3rd party FW app to see if it works. My router does not seem to have an IP blacklist option so that is sad.
