I agree with you guys, how useful is to place first position in Google a video ranking for >seo in london<, if it from the 8th of May 2014 when it was published, had a total of 1,072 views? This little number tells only one thing: that keyword is useless. Try to search for "SEO London", exact match: nothing about that video. But If I am looking for a SEO service or agency in London, will I search with that term?
Niche discovery and keyword search is another business. If you do with a wrong premise, how can you profit building an entire web property on such a poor value? Well for them there is a lot of ignorance out there... Doing keyword or niche research is a serious job, then you can profit from a well ranked video.

Good point, BUT, to be fair, the search term produces 11.4m results, and to stay ranked there after 8 months isn't a bad result, is it? You're right that the term itself isn't doing a great job at selling, but maybe that wasn't their point. I'm not defending them, but just saying that it has ranked, as they claim, and it didn't need 0.5m views to get there.
