Method:

Find an in demand niche + product you can source
Set the product up on your store for free, just charge for shipping ($6.95)
Create a simple slideshow video of the product to use for a video ad
Run a Video Views FB ad at $5 per day
Monetize the back end with immediate follow up
If you source a product for less than
$3 and charge $6.95 for shipping, then that is about a $4 profit for every item you sell.

Mr. M is a genius at offering very tempting (good copy) but just-barely-enough-value front-ends that pull people in to his funnels with OTOs moving through the $27, $97 etc mark. Just good marketing on his part.

Having a FWS front end isn't new of course. He aims for $3 max cost including epacket shipping, so a $6.95 "Free with Shipping" offer presumably -- if his ad costs and claimed ROI are to be believed -- gives him a shot at break-even or better on his ad spend while he builds a buyer's list.

But he has a few sort-of twists here.
First, he says to populate the store with perhaps 4 products that will appeal to the same audience. Obvious but not everyone does this. The most common approach I've seen is to run an automatic 1-product up-sell after the FWS, he doesn't seem to do this. (You don't even need a store to do that model, of course). Then he includes a short series of VERY short emails that send people to view these other products as a "collection." OK, it's a slight variation versus fws + immediate upsell, maybe not enough to call it a "twist." Worth testing though.

Second, he's using very simple video ads, <30 seconds, starting with the product (just 2 3, or 4 images made into a video) with CTA text appearing after the first few seconds and closing with a pure CTA text slow zoom on a white background.

And finally, there's something I've not noticed before; his "video tags" on his FB Posts appear to be the Interests he's targeting. Maybe this is normal? Even, default? New to me, anyway. Not sure of the implications.

Probably the biggest takeaway is that there's no need to over-think this, if you're looking for a few-bucks income stream and a targeted buyers list that paid for itself.

Not true. You'll need to add in FB ad cost as well as refunds.

Margins are very thin for free plus shipping model. Definitely need strong upsell or back end offers to make it profitable.

Which is why he gets them on buyers list and sends them a series of products to get more out of it. You get a targeted buyer in your list which is worth the Ad spends

Yeah, I have shared almost all his products and they all go through same funnel. I like it but I would hate to do something like this to my subscribers, it gives a bad rep to your brand name.
