RE:
@vipteam and kirstie
Mobile optimized pages are a much better approach than responsive design. 1st: Opera has a market share of 1-3%. It's heavily used by hackers (security by obscurity). 2nd: Opera mobile / mini is widely used on older smartphones. These also represent only a very small market share now. 3rd: A slider is not something I would want to show mobile users anyway - loads too long before display. Opera Desktop users are not even a target group for most offline businesses I always advise clients to use completely separate content pages for mobile users - in most cases even a totally different site! Mobile users are 'on the move'. They need very specific information - and it has to be short and to the point. Nobody is gonna read a whole lot of content from a mobile phone. If these pages have a separate 'stripped-down' page template too, they will definitely load faster - which is the desired outcome. I know Jo has some issues with support - not one of his strengths. But he updates his themes regularly (wp-leadpro v5 anyone? It's here on the forum :-). I even thought the mobile design would not work - but I had 'show desktop site' active on my droid device. Now - with mobile view - it shows a verv nice jquery menu on top to navigate the whole site. I - however - would rather opt for a mobile redirector and a separate mobile site if using this for clients. If using it as a consultant, you can get away with this design structure. That's because your content is delivered as educational material - not as a means to help making a quick buying decision. This is what most other mobile sites are geared towards. Cheers, Johnny63 |

@Administrator
Were you able to rip the OTOs? I bought the theme, but not any of his OTOs. By the way: Theme is at version 1.3 now: It should update via the WP update panel, but for new installations, it's easier to start with the most current version... Magic Button : Cheers, Johnny63 |
