About the software: It is not efficient if you want to actually use it to make money. The search function is crap. You have to use a lot of wildcards to get something, but you have to figure them out yourself, and even then you get mostly irrelevant info.

Maybe this guy pre-released it so that he can get a good amount of search keys from his frustrated buyers, to make a useful tool in the future. You simply rely on luck to land on a good piece of info.
Secondly, just because you can find something searching google, doesn't mean it's legal to download it and sell it (I mean for doing this legally). Especially in the States, you can get in a lot of trouble.

Verdict: test it, have some fun, and maybe you get lucky and actually sell something.
